Windstar Star Seeker
Windstar Cruises’ all-suite ship elevates the brand’s cruise offering
Windstar Cruises has unveiled details of its upcoming all-suite ship, the Star Seeker, which will debut in January 2026. The addition to Windstar’s fleet will offer a luxurious yet intimate cruising experience. It will accommodate 224 guests in 112 spacious suites, most featuring a private veranda or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows.
The ship is poised to provide guests with greater comfort and connection to the sea, emphasising tranquillity and relaxation. Windstar Cruises’ Vice President of Hotel Operations, Stijn Creupelandt, noted that suites were inspired by natural elements such as the sea, sky, and landscapes, creating a serene atmosphere throughout the ship.
The Star Seeker will introduce a new suite category for the line, the Horizon Owner’s Suites, which will offer expansive wrap-around balconies with panoramic views, ideal for private gatherings or quiet relaxation.
The ship will feature five dining options included in the cruise fare: a full-service spa, a fitness facility, and a revamped Watersports Platform, allowing guests direct access to the ocean, effectively turning it into an infinity pool.
The Star Seeker is currently under construction in Portugal and will embark on its maiden voyage in January 2026, sailing from Malaga to Miami. After its christening in Miami, the ship will begin offering cruises in the Caribbean, followed by voyages up the West Coast of the United States to Alaska, and eventually, itineraries in Japan and Southeast Asia.
The Star Seeker is part of Windstar’s broader expansion plans, which include the launch of a sister ship, the Star Explorer, in December 2026. Both ships are expected to enhance Windstar’s reputation for delivering unique and luxurious small-ship cruising experiences.
