Aston Martin unveils the limited edition Valhalla, its second racing-inspired hybrid hypercar, which will combine wild styling, Formula 1 tech, and exhilarating performance.
Aston Martin has long been synonymous with British automotive craftsmanship, blending elegance with exhilarating performance. With the launch of the Valhalla, the marque ventures boldly into the realm of mid-engine supercars, delivering a vehicle that balances luxury with cutting-edge engineering.
Limited to just 999 units, the Valhalla represents a landmark moment for the brand, showcasing what happens when tradition meets technological innovation.
Design with purpose and poise
The Valhalla’s exterior is a masterclass in aerodynamic efficiency wrapped in striking design. While beauty is unmistakably at its core, each surface has been shaped for purpose. Its aggressive stance, pronounced curves, and dramatic dihedral doors exude presence, but these features aren’t just for show.
Every line and contour has been meticulously engineered to enhance aerodynamics and cooling efficiency.
Active aerodynamics play a pivotal role, with a hydraulically operated rear wing and concealed front spoiler generating more than 600kg of downforce at speeds up to 350 km/h (217 mph).
The car’s aerodynamic prowess ensures stability during high-speed manoeuvres while minimising drag. It’s a blend of form and function that’s rare even among elite supercars.

An interior for driving purists
Inside, the Valhalla’s cockpit takes its cues from the world of Formula 1, prioritising driver engagement without sacrificing luxury. The minimalist interior is dominated by lightweight carbon-fibre seats designed for both support and comfort. The low-slung driving position and raised footwells provide a race-car-like experience that still feels approachable.
Aston Martin has introduced its new driver-focused HMI (Human-Machine Interface) system, featuring a clean, uncluttered digital display mounted on the steering column for easy visibility. Central to the dashboard is a touchscreen controlling navigation, media, and performance settings. The interface is intuitive, designed to keep the driver’s attention where it belongs – on the road ahead.
For those seeking individuality, Aston Martin’s Q bespoke programme offers near-limitless personalisation options. From tinted carbon-fibre finishes to tailored interiors, buyers can craft a Valhalla that reflects their personal taste.
Powertrain: Blending power with precision
Beneath its sculpted body lies a formidable powertrain that defines the Valhalla’s character. The mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces a remarkable 828 PS, supported by three electric motors contributing an additional 251 PS. This hybrid system delivers a combined 1,079 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque, propelling the Valhalla from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in a blistering 2.5 seconds.
Unlike many hybrid supercars, the Valhalla’s system is designed for both maximum performance and efficiency. In Pure EV mode, it offers a silent, zero-emission driving experience with a range of 14 km.
When performance takes priority, the engine and electric motors work in seamless harmony, using torque vectoring and active aerodynamics to enhance grip and stability.
Aston Martin’s engineering expertise is evident in the car’s bespoke eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, developed specifically for the hybrid era. It offers rapid gear changes while incorporating an electric motor for added torque fill and regenerative braking.
The Valhalla’s true appeal lies in its ability to deliver an exceptional driving experience on both road and track
Driving experience: Precision meets thrill
The Valhalla’s true appeal lies in its ability to deliver an exceptional driving experience on both road and track. Selectable driving modes – Pure EV, Sport, Sport+, and Race – transform its personality at the twist of a dial. Each mode adjusts engine response, suspension stiffness, and aerodynamics for a tailored driving experience.
In Race mode, the car’s active aerodynamic components deploy fully, maximising downforce for confident cornering. Torque vectoring and an electronic limited-slip differential ensure precise handling, while the advanced suspension system adapts instantly to changing road conditions.
What sets the Valhalla apart is its accessibility. Despite its extreme capabilities, it remains composed and manageable even at the limits, making it as thrilling on winding country roads as it is on a professional racetrack.
Craftsmanship meets engineering excellence
Every Valhalla is built around a lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, ensuring exceptional rigidity and agility. Weighing just 1,655 kg, the car boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 652 PS per 1,000 kg, a figure that places it firmly in hypercar territory.
Its braking system is equally advanced, featuring carbon-ceramic discs and a brake-by-wire setup. These provide immense stopping power while maintaining precise pedal feel. Aston Martin has also integrated regenerative braking into the system, enhancing efficiency without compromising performance.
The Aston Martin Valhalla is more than a statement of intent – it’s a showcase of what’s possible when advanced technology meets timeless design
Technology-driven luxury
While performance defines the Valhalla, Aston Martin hasn’t overlooked luxury. The cabin is adorned with premium materials like leather, Alcantara, and exposed carbon fibre. Every detail, from the switchgear to the stitching, reflects meticulous craftsmanship.
The infotainment system supports modern connectivity features, including smartphone integration, voice control, and advanced driver-assistance technologies. These ensure long-distance drives remain as comfortable as track-day exploits are thrilling.
