Fişekhane was established in the first half of the 19th century within the body of “Zeytinburnu Fabrika-i Hümâyûnu’’ which has a history of nearly two centuries with its industrial identity.
Today, the water tower, armored vehicles repair shop, workshops and warehouses, which were built in the 1800s and carry traces of classical Ottoman architecture, have been restored as cultural assets.
